Barking & Dagenham College Z-Card
This Z-Card was created for the college’s outreach events with the intention of being handed out to prospective students. The design needed to show information about BDC and promote as many subject areas as possible to have the highest impact.
The outside of the z-card is designed to be bold and eye catching with a clear brand identity and call-to-action on the reverse side. The initial fold-out space of the z-card was used to highlight the subjects and application process above all else.
The First Side of the Z-card gives general information on BDC ranging from qualification types, general pathways, how to apply and a broad overview of student life at BDC. The information was purposefully short, making it as clear as possible, with the design intended to clearly separate sections without making the page overwhelming.
The reverse side of the z-card gives the viewer a general overview of subject areas, student life at BDC and highlights the key equipment and facilities for each area. Image cut-outs were utilised here to maximise the text space available while also showing imagery of key equipment. A QR code to the BDC Virtual Tour was included to allow students to see more from their chosen subject area.
